Changes from previous release
  • Added an optimization that will increase frame rate by up to 10% in systems using the high detail terrain.

  • Added a self shadow texture size option in the "Advanced" Graphic Detail options menu. The larger you set this, the smoother your shadow will appear but it will take up more video memory. If you set it too large for your system, it will cause a hit to your performance.

  • ATI Crossfire systems can now run with both cards enabled and see a performance increase instead of a decrease.

  • Changed the look of the low detail water and coastlines.

  • The max setting of the Ground Detail Range slider in the Graphics Detail options menu has been increased from 3 miles to 4 miles. 4 miles is the same setting that the <Shift><F4> ground vis override setting uses.

  • Added a feature to poll data about users hardware, if they agree to send it to us. This will help us in the future to make decisions about hardware support. It will also display what data is being sent.

  • The bump map selection in the "Advanced" Graphics Detail options menu now remembers its setting between sessions.

  • Fixed some clipping and color issues with low end graphics chips.

  • Offline missions now create their temp files in the misstemp folder instead of the missions folder.

  • Aces High now performs a cleanout of the cache folder from the previous version which is no longer used.

  • Unassigned stick functions are now labeled as unassigned in the stick mapper.

  • Fixed an undersized shrub and added more shrubs and vegetation in the Pacific terrain set.

  • Relabeled the Spitfire slipper tanks to U.S. Gallons.

  • Changed the P-39s cannon to make it easier to fire single shots without inadvertant double taps.

  • Fixed a bug in the P-38L that caused a couple rockets to remain displayed after a wing was destroyed.

  • Fixed a shimmering polygon in the rudder of the P-40B.

  • Centered the clock hands on the typhoon.

  • Fixed a sorting bug with the Il-2's squad logo.

  • Fixed a polygon issue with the Ki-67 when the flaps were damaged.
