Flight Simulators

Flight simulators World War 2 style are only as good as the technicians who create them, and we at HiTech Creations are very proud of our team and the war game they created, namely Aces High, the number one combat flight simulator on the market.

Our team is not only highly skilled at what they do but they are also historical junkies when it comes to World War Ii. That would explain why our aircraft, ships and ground vehicles are so exact in their representation of World War 2 craft. In keeping with our World War II battle overview, today we bring you Operation Torch.

Operation Torch was conducted from November 8-16, 1942, in Morocco and Algiers in Northern Africa. It involved forces from the United States, the United Kingdom, Free French Forces and Canada against Vichy France and Germany. This was basically a British-American invasion of French North Africa during the North African Campaign, the goals of which were to pressure Germany and take some of their forces away from the Europe mainland and to gain ultimate control of the Mediterranean Sea, with a larger view of invading mainland Europe from the Mediterranean in 1943. Although reluctant, American President Roosevelt felt the need to support British Prime Minister Churchill’s plan and so Operation Torch was conducted.

In the end the goals were met at the cost of 479 Allied lives and 1,346 German and Vichy French troops and the German stronghold in North Africa was weakened considerably. Although the ultimate goal of an invasion of mainland Europe was not accomplished until 1944, these battles in Morocco and Algiers proved advantageous and ultimately well worth the efforts. For those of you a little confused, the French were indeed once allies of the United States, but there was a fraction in the French power structure so the Vichy French did indeed provide resistance in this operation. This operation ultimately led to the German occupation of France a few months later.

Our competitors come and go in the flight sim market but only one game has rested atop the standings since 2000 and that game is Aces High. After all of these years we still believe in our mission statement of long ago: to make one game and one game only and make that game the best World War 2 Flight Simulator on the market. We must be doing something right! Fly the skies of Aces High and find out for yourself.
