WWII History

The Special Events calendar is light this week because of Thanksgiving, but there are two great events that might be worth your while.

On the 20th we have the 7th Annual 68KO Cup, an XTreme Air Racing League finale featuring winners during the year that was.  This is the best of the best, each participant competing with three different planes in three different heats.  Real trophies are up for grabs in this event.

And on the 21st we have a Snapshot Event, the Battle of the Ruhr, which you will not want to miss.

Wrapping up the weekend with a couple of great special events you might be interested in.  On the 16th we have a FSO, or Friday Squad Operation, and then on the 18th we have Frame 3 of our SEC, or Sunday European Command.

If you are unsure about these, check our forums under special events, and all of your questions will be answered.  Sign up now and experience a part of Aces High that must be experienced if you are a serious combat flight simulator junkie!

So, for those of you who have been sitting on the fence regarding Special Events….are you convinced, yet, to give them a try?  Are you done practicing and now maybe you would like to take on the best in the world?  Are you tired of beating your little brothers and you think maybe you should see if anyone outside of your bedroom has the skills that you have?

Well, then, sign up and get started.  There is no better time than now!  Tuesday, November 14th, we are holding a Snapshot and it is open to all flight sim gamers.

Aces High is continuing our series on months of WW2, and this week we would like to take a look at November, 1943.  Here, then, is a timeline of events that happened during that month.  We hope our online flight sim gamers enjoy this glimpse of history.

  • 28th The Tehran Conference begins to discuss war strategy

What a fascinating month of the war.  You can see the strategies playing out and all sides move pieces like a chess game, except the chess board is a map of the world.  Just the logistics of moving supplies, aircraft, ships, and tanks around the board where they are needed must have been an enormous responsibility.  Add to that the sheer numbers that we are talking about, and how difficult it is to move hundreds of thousands of men and supplies from one point to the next….and then the continual stream of information that has to be digested and acted upon….yes, this was a fascinating war indeed!

Anyway, we hope you enjoy this historical overview of World War 2.  You should expect nothing less from the makers of the number one combat flight simulator on the market.

For those of you not familiar with Aces High, remember that we have a free download all ready for you so that you can give us a try.

November’s first full week of Special Events ends with three great offerings that are sure to test your combat flight simulator skills.

This is a triple feature guaranteed to provide you with all of the challenges that you have come to expect from the best World War 2 Flight Simulator on the market.

Aces High, your action headquarters, awaits you!
