WWII History

It has been awhile since we have gone totally self-serving with an article, but it occurs to us that some of you newcomers may not understand or be aware of all that we have to offer with our game Aces High. With that in mind let us run you through a quick tour of our great combat flight simulator.

Forums

This is such a neat feature, one that thousands avail themselves to each and every day. You can find an online forum thread that is concerned with something you want to know about and then you enter the forum and discuss things with other flight sim gamers. How cool is that?

Movies

We think we have the greatest volunteers in the flight simulator business and to prove it all you have to do is check out some of the films they have created that explain maneuvers, terrain, planes and vehicles. There is nothing quite like seeing instruction firsthand to really understand something.

Squads

Don’t want to go it alone? Not feeling confident enough to play Aces High by yourself yet? Join a squad or form your own squad and partake in the special events designed just for squad play. It is a great way to learn on the go and have the protection of a friend who is playing with you.

Special Events

Each and every month feature Special Events that are guaranteed to provide you with all the excitement and challenge you could hope for. From XTreme Air Racing to Snapshots and others, we have a full package for the thrill-seekers out there who want to test their skills against the best gamers in the world.

Useful Links

We have included quite a few links that will introduce you to our World War 2 Flight Simulator and make you more comfortable when you are first starting out.

AH Wiki

All things related to our game are on this link. Any questions you may have, any knowledge you may seek, you can find it all on Wiki.

To find any of these things all you have to do is go to the main website at www.hitechcreations.com and follow the links available to you. We think we have covered all of the bases so you can learn as you go. There is even a free two-week trial download you can try out to see if Ace High is for you, but be warned: once you have tried the free download you will be hooked for life, so don’t blame us if you enjoy our game as much as we know you will.

Take a few minutes and humor me; go to http://www.ahevents.org/cm-team.html and give a special shout out to the dedicated team of volunteers who create and supervise the entire Special Events schedule that we hold each month.

Hours upon hours of hard work go into the Special Events calendar and the coordination of the actual events, and these people give of their time so that you, the combat flight simulator player, will have the best adventure possible. Just one more reason why Aces High is leading the planet in the flight sim genre.

Scroll through the menu and when you come to Downloads click it and then click on Content Editors.

Once you get there you will be able to create terrains, objects for terrains, cloud pattens, offline missions and preview skins.

This is a great feature on Aces High and one well-worth checking out. Combat flight simulators just don’t come any better than this. If you don’t believe us then download Aces High and give it a try; we are sure you won’t try any other flight sim after you Fly The Skies With Aces High!

The last week of February is upon us and we have two more Special Events in store for all of you flight sim gamers.

On the 28th we have the final Aces High XTreme Air Racing League, listed on the calendar as AHXARL, and then the next day, the 29th, we have the final Snapshot for the month, this one called “Rabaul.”

Both promise to be balls-out excitement and of course a major test of your skills as you go up against the best war game gamers in the world. Strap on your helmets and Fly The Skies of Aces High!

This is part of our Battle series for our combat flight simulator. For 22 days during December of 1943 the British 8th Army under the leadership of Harold Alexander did battle with the LXXVI Panzer Corps of Germany which was led by Albert Kesselring. It was Alexander’s intentions to breach the German Winter Line defensive system and advance to Rome. The German Tenth Army was determined to prevent that at all costs.

Along the Moro River in Italy the battles continued daily, attacking, counter-attacking, casualties mounting on both sides, until it became clear that a stalemate was going to be the end result. Finally by December 26th the offensive stalled and brutal winter weather set in; the blizzard kept both sides from doing any further damage and Alexander was forced to call off his troops and not try for further gains.

The gains that were made by the Allies, however, led to the eventual fall of Rome, so in a very real sense this Campaign, as part of the larger Rome Campaign, was a success.   Final casualties for the Germans are unknown but for the Allies it broke down like this: Canadian forces lost 2,339; New Zealand forces lost 1,600 and India lost 3,400 men.

We at HiTech Creations greatly appreciate the battles and campaigns of World War 2; it really was like a giant chess match, pieces seemingly unconnected moving across a board that spanned nearly the entire globe, all coordinated with a singular purpose. When we created Aces High, our combat flight simulator, we intended for it to be much more than just a flight sim for gamers. Rather, we meant for it to be a tribute to the soldiers who fought that war and who were a part of that grand chess match.

As you become familiar with Aces High and become more proficient you will see the similarities between this war game and actual war. In scenarios you will join squadrons and move your pieces in coordinated fashion. You will be aware of ground movements of your armored divisions; you will keep your PT boats at the ready all the while scouting the areas with your aircraft. Hundreds of the world’s best gamers will be competing against you, making it very much a world campaign.

World War 2 Flight Simulators don’t come more realistic than Aces High. You can scout out our competitors but we are confident that once you compare you will come back to Aces High each and every time. We truly are the best flight simulator on the market.
