What does this mean?
"mp - manifold pressure. When preceded or followed by a number, it's the setting for the formation." ? Moot 15:23, 1 August 2008 (CDT)
- It's very common in scenarios, special events, and sometimes MA missions for the section leader to call out their power setting (eg. 35MP) so the other pilots can form up and match speed for formation flying. I'm not sure of a better way to word that entery, but I'm pretty sure I submitted "mp" along with "sb" and "rope" to netaces several years ago lol. Murdr 08:28, 10 December 2008 (CST)
"Keep in mined that these terms can be added by anybody and do not represent the official combat terms or the abbreviations made by HTC to the aircraft. Also some of the following terms that were created by poor pilots trying to show there disrespect to the new pilots that fly good non perked aircraft are incorrect and almost never used (ex: dweebfire, lgay, and runstang)."
This pages initial content is from the NetAces.org Radio abbreviations which is also the initial content for Trainers Site: Radio abbreviations. Both of wich includes "dweebfire" and "runstang". If it wasn't ever used, I doubt it would be on the trainers page. Furthermore, both of those terms were in use in Air Warrior, before Aces High even existed.
However I did put an introductory comment in to head the page. The "keep in mind" note might really be that this page is patroled by admins.
