What is a combat flight simulator?
First, what a combat flight simulator isn’t, it is not a way to learn how to fly an aircraft. Those are generally called flight simulators, although a combat simulator game can also be referred to as a flight simulator, as well as a flight sim game, or even narrowing it down a bit to something like a World War 2 flight simulator.
What it is, then, is a multiple person combat game using aircraft, but also other things like ground vehicles (tanks) or ships are also part of the action. Think in terms of a war game, pitting gamers from around the world, playing the game on the World Wide Web simultaneously.

The first reason for playing a flight sim game is because the action never ends. Aces High, and games like it, are being played 24/7, 365 days per year. No matter when you log in, there is a battle happening, or several battles happening, or a battle simulation which you can be part of.
