Version 2.22 Patch 1 Released December 16, 2010 Installing the patch manually To install the patch manually, you will need to download the correct patch executable file. WARNING: Failure to install the correct patch will render the game corrupt and require a full download and installation. Check the current version of the game you have installed by starting the game. In the upper left corner of the opening screen is the version and patch number.Use the following table to select the correct patch for your game version.
If your game version is not listed in the above table, then you will either need to allow the game to auto-update itself, or you can download the entire game installation file. Changes from previous release Changed how the AA gun moves on the Panther so that it now has the same functionality as the real one did. The gun rotates 30 degrees left and right on its mount. To move the mount to a different spot on the pintle, you need to move to gunner position #5 and slew the mount to the desired position. Jumping back to the #3 gunner position let's you resume firing. Please note that the pintle rail only covers about 270 degrees as you can see in the 3D model. We also increased the max elevation and corrected the sight picture and point of impact. Fixed an issue that caused the G4M's gauges to get blurry when running with a lower max texture size setting. Fixed a bug that was causing the max g stress sound not to play when it was supposed to. Fixed an issue that caused you to see a lower level of detail model on the G4M when gunning from one of the formation drones. The compass on the G4M is now centered and rotates correctly. Fixed a couple of areas on the G4M where you could see some polygons cut out. Fixed an issue that caused the calliope on the M4 to always appear when the turret of the M4 was blown off. Recalibrated Spitfire tachometers. |

Version 2.22 of Aces High has been released and is available for download. There is also a new hi-res texture pack available in the download menu.
Check the flight sim information page for more details concerning this release and, optionally, information needed to manually update the game.
As a reminder, if you are running a software firewall, and cannot connect after the patch is installed, you need to re-allow the game (aceshigh.exe) back through your firewall.

Added the G4M1 bomber. Again thanks to Greebo for the skin. Added the a new host system variable that controls how much of the town needs to be destroyed before it can be captured. There is a flag flying in each town that will be swapped out for a white surrender flag when the damage threshold is reached. At that point troops can be used to make the capture. The initial setting will be at 50% and we'll adjust it from there if needed. Fixed an error in the M8 shape that would cause a round to pass through without damage if it struck straight on at the base of the turret. Fixed an error in the Panzer's damage that could result in a round passing through without damage. Also fixed another error in the Panzer where a very small section of the rear top of the tank was not properly armored. Fixed a bug that could cause a crash when using low detail graphics mode and viewing a lot of smoke particles. Fixed a voice playback bug that would cause the last part of someone's transmission to cut out. You now automatically jump to the driver's position when you resupply your vehicle. Film viewer now correctly saves the y axis viewpoint in camera world view mode. Force feedback effects are now cleared after jumping to a drone bomber. Fixed a sorting error the 50 cal gunsights on the PT Boat. You now see the correct skin the pilot has selected when you gun on his plane. Fixed an LoD issue on a windmill that caused it to disappeared at long range. Fixed a bug that caused admin broadcasts to all arenas not to show in the arena they originated in. Fixed a bug that caused vehicles to lurch when placed in gear with the engine off. An old bug that caused drones to warp positions when the lead plane in a formation was killed should now be fixed. Added an error message when a film save fails. Fixed a bug that could cause icons to sometimes disappear from certain views when you were in a tracked vehicle. Fixed a bug that caused the guns on top of the flak towers to be almost impervious to blast damage. Also found the 88mm's were mistakenly tagged as armored. Engine stack shadows on the Mosquito XVI now disappear when the wing is destroyed. Fixed a sorting error on the SBD dive brakes. Also fixed a damage visual on the horizontal stab of the SBD. Air show smoke on the Ar 234 now displays correctly. Bf 110's were missing MP and RPM needles for #2 engine. Calibrated flap gauges on various Japanese planes. Fixed a couple of LoD issue in the B-17. |
